Chuck Smith

Chuck is a proud grandparent of seven grandchildren, and counting. This book was inspired by his first granddaughter Jacque who was always tearful when it was time to say good-bye after a visit. Chuck came up with the “See You Later Alligator Game” to make good-byes not so sad, but instead a fun event.

Chuck and his wife Julie have made a business of helping children since 1990 when they started Get Away Today Vacations. Whether it’s sending kids on magical vacations to Disneyland, or giving back to the community through their Vacations = Donations Program for schools and children’s hospitals, Chuck and Julie love kids!

Chuck graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in communications/journalism. He has worked as a news reporter, anchor and writer. One of his true joys is spending time reading to his grandchildren.

He hopes that “See You Later Alligator” will become a tradition in your household too! Look for more books on the horizon; this isn’t “Good-bye” just “See you later…”
